Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3/4 NICU travel contract in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience and current NRP certification.

Details

• Level 3/4 NICU in a hospital setting with 97 beds and a staff of approximately 200
• Patient ratio of 3–4 patients per RN
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Equipment used includes Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe Isolettes, and GE monitors
• EMR systems used: CPN and Meditech
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card)
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Night shift unit staffing consists primarily of RNs and one clerk
• Navy scrubs are required; no nail polish or artificial nails permitted
• Preferred candidates will have prior travel nursing experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
