Clinical Professor

The client is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in Hematology/Oncology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clinical or Clinical X track) to hold an endowed chair in Genitourinary Medical Oncology. The role focuses on translational and clinical research in genitourinary oncology, including cancers of the kidney, prostate, bladder, and testes. The client expects candidates to collaborate with an existing multidisciplinary team across medical oncology, urology, and radiation oncology within a matrix academic health science environment. Successful candidates will have a proven record of translational and clinical research in genitourinary oncology, along with a strong scholarly publication profile and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues. Candidates are expected to have national recognition in clinical genitourinary oncology and related clinical trials research, and to show an ability to lead interactive multidisciplinary research teams. Applicants must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree, with American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and ABIM subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology, and must possess or be eligible to obtain an active California state medical license. Faculty responsibilities will align with the selected track. For the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, the incumbent is expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service. For the Professor of Clinical “X” series, the incumbent is expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service, with excellent teaching being an essential criterion for appointment.
