Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring accurate documentation from initial consultations through treatment completion.

• Assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological health, using standardized assessment tools as well as your clinical expertise.
\n
• Create comprehensive and personalized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, families, and group contexts.
\n
• Lead and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing innovative therapeutic techniques to foster personal insight and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress against the established treatment goals, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff to enhance care coordination and client outcomes.

• Provide post-treatment follow-ups, particularly for clients who have been admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in addressing and managing behavioral challenges, promoting a supportive home environment.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding of therapeutic methodologies and evidence-based practices applicable to mental health counseling.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring effective documentation and client tracking.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n
