Senior Bridge Engineer

Lead and deliver bridge and structural projects, including new design, inspection, repair, and rehabilitation Provide technical direction and oversee plans, calculations, specifications, and QA/QC compliance with DOT and AASHTO LRFD standards Apply bridge design and analysis expertise using Bentley Open Bridge Designer, MIDAS Civil, AASHTO BrR, MathCAD, MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, and Civil 3D Manage concurrent projects with accountability for technical delivery, schedule, budget, and risk Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including junior engineers and CAD technicians Perform and oversee bridge inspections and load ratings Deliver reports and actionable recommendations aligned with regulatory requirements Collaborate with internal teams, clients, state DOTs, municipalities, contractors, and external stakeholders Support business development through proposals, scope/fee development, client engagement, meetings, industry organizations, and conferences Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field 10+ years of bridge design experience Experience working with state DOT standards Professional Engineer (PE) license Valid driver’s license Experience with Design-Build delivery methods preferred Bridge inspection certification (NBIS or equivalent) preferred Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in bridge design and analysis, ensuring compliance with DOT and AASHTO LRFD standards while managing project delivery, budgets, and schedules.
