Bridge Engineer

Deliver “best in class” technical and innovative solutions to clients in the design, delivery, and management of critical structural resources Co-locate at the project office for a major design-build infrastructure project Visit the construction site frequently Participate in project progress meetings Collaborate with other design disciplines Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve RFIs and NCRs Prepare reports for senior engineer review Track and meet schedule requirements for deliverables Requirements 5 or more years of professional work experience in transportation infrastructure Experience in the design of concrete and steel bridge structures Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering EI/EIT Certification Experience with AASHTO design codes Proficiency with relevant bridge design software including Bentley/LEAP/Open Bridge Designer, MathCAD, Microsoft Office products, and MicroStation Effective problem solving skills Ability to take initiative and make decisions Ability to work with little direct oversight Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical individuals Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in the design and management of transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on concrete and steel bridge structures. Proficient in utilizing bridge design software and adhering to AASHTO design codes while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
