Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 days a week Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Zero (0) - six (6) months of related experience. License: Valid multi-state or State Registered Nurse License. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: 1 year of experience Description: The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures. Completes assessment and individualizes plan of care within established guidelines. Carries out nursing care while considering cultural and psychosocial factors. Organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. Anticipates patient and unit needs. Demonstrates sound knowledge base in bio-psychosocial aspects. Delegates and communicates effectively. Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing situations. Documents steps of the nursing process and care accurately. Records data concisely, consistently, and legibly. Utilizes correct medical terminology and abbreviations. Addresses problems and progress toward outcomes according to policy. Facilitates patient teaching and discharge planning. Makes timely and appropriate referrals. Utilizes resources for planning and presenting patient education. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets educational standards. Accurately completes variance reports. Demonstrates independent judgment in planning and decision-making. Works directly with patients and customers. Interacts with other healthcare professionals and staff.
