Responsibilities As a Senior BIM Coordinator in the LSS Department, you are responsible for supporting both the department’s needs for BIM content organization and processes as well as project execution. This is a 25/75% split between department support and project support. For the department you will maintain our library of Revit support content, maintain our Bluebeam toolbox, document department BIM and markup standards, and provide training to the department staff. For projects, you will assist the project team in providing department resources for a new project, adapt our standard BIM and markup processes to the project, and provide training to new project staff on our standard BIM protocols. You will work with the LSS Project BIM Lead to assist them in project setup, review and audits, and may support multiple projects. Technology and Delivery This position provides an opportunity to grow your knowledge of the Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks design software platforms as well as expanding your general understanding of the LSS design industry. Using these platforms you will support the creation of fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L) as well as 2D construction drawings. This is all accomplished in coordination with other designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers under one Jacobs roof. Using the Jacobs design methods in conjunction with your keen eye for detail and established BIM skills, you will be part of our LSS design team core working to turn the design intent of our senior team members into constructable deliverables with clash‑free 3D models. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent Minimum 10 years of BIM design experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical/Telecom/LSS design and construction industry Very good organizational skills Very good communication and leadership skills Analytical thinking skills Experience following client design and modeling standards High proficiency with Bluebeam Proficient with Navisworks Ability to estimate hours required for modeling efforts based on building size Willingness to learn new things Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role Preferred 10 years of Revit and 3 years AutoCAD design experience Understanding of industrial type facilities Experience mentoring fellow BIM design staff Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and in the things you care about. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $120,000.00; it will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
