Job Overview Mid‑sized corporate defense firm seeks a D&O Attorney with 2‑4 years of experience defending executives and board members in high‑stakes fiduciary duty claims, shareholder disputes, and insurance coverage litigation. The ideal candidate need not have prior related experience, but must be bright, an excellent writer, and an adept learner. Successful members come from various backgrounds including commercial litigation, corporate work, private practice, or the public sector. Associate will interact directly with partners and clients with the goal of taking on increasing responsibility and building the skills necessary to manage complex cases independently. Responsibilities Analyze third‑party insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice to insurance company clients Correspond with clients, opposing counsel, and other interested parties Monitor and evaluate claims, including securities class action, derivatives and other litigation against insureds Conduct complex legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda Assist periodically in federal and state litigation, including declaratory judgment actions brought by insurer clients and defend insurer clients in litigation filed by policyholders Attend mediations as required Qualifications Admitted to practice in Ohio Excellent academic credentials Exceptional legal writing and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong work ethic and a sense of ownership over work Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects Equal Opportunity Employer Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
