At Firetrace, we are proud to be building a safer, more sustainable world—together.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.Manage all aspects of procurement to support business needsYou will use your expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing processManage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricingResponsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics, and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of saleGenerate reports for On-Time Delivery (OTD) for supplier performance.Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining inventory turn cycles.Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchasesInteracts closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure all aspects of procurement is represented during project launch and executionResponsible for on-going supplier performance improvementDaily communication with internal customers and receiving areasExpedite and escalate purchase part shortages as needed.Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams as needed.Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills.Strong understanding of inventory, planning, and manufacturing environments.Strong math and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks based on competing priorities and to delegate when appropriate.Ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment.Demonstrated solutions-oriented mindset and ability to lead process improvements and develop standards/procedures.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to comply with ITAR requirements, as indicated below.Education & Experience RequirementsThe ideal candidate is an analytical, driven professional with 2-4 years procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute, learn and grow. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or experience in lieu of degree required. Preferred Skills & AbilitiesProcurement experience within Aerospace environment preferred.Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Previous experience in international logistics a plusKnowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plusNote: This position requires access to technology and/or data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
