Statistical Programming Portfolio Lead, Associate Director

AstraZeneca seeks an experienced Statistical Programming Associate Director to lead programming activities within the Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism Biometrics team. This leadership role requires deep clinical development expertise and will oversee project delivery, data quality, and statistical analysis support for drug development programs based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee quality, timely delivery of statistical programming and data management work
- Provide subject matter expertise and independently implement programming activities across projects
- Direct data delivery to industry standards and ensure high-quality statistical analysis for reporting
- Act as cross-functional specialist to drive continuous improvement and automation solutions
- Contribute strategic input to functional planning and regulatory submission strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Life Science
- At least 7 years of statistical programming experience in clinical development
- Advanced knowledge of clinical development processes and industry standards
- Demonstrated programming leadership capability with team development experience
- Strong influencing, planning, and organizational skills
- Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements
- Expertise in risk management for complex or novel situations
Compensation: $137,135–$205,703 base annually
