The Assembler plays a key role in building conveyor systems that support the e-commerce industry. This position involves repetitive, hands-on mechanical assembly work using hand and power tools, following detailed written instructions and drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. The role is full-time, with working hours from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and requires a strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with physical, fast-paced work.
Responsibilities
- Assemble various conveyor systems and related components for use in the e-commerce industry.
- Insert rods into hand presses and operate basic assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow written work instructions, assembly instructions, and basic drawings to complete tasks accurately.
- Complete required quality documents and inspection steps to ensure assembled products meet standards.
- Label and apply stickers to conveyors and components according to specifications.
- Accurately post transactions using shop floor data collection devices to record production activities.
- Interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to understand assembly requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble mechanical parts and subassemblies.
- Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic assembly issues, identifying and correcting errors in the process.
- Perform repetitive and monotonous assembly tasks while maintaining focus, consistency, and quality.
- Work on an assembly line and follow established assembly processes to meet production goals.
- Lift, move, and position parts and assemblies, including items up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to support efficient production flow.
- Be available and willing to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
- Proven assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, basic drawings, and written work instructions.
- Demonstrated experience using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of how parts and systems fit and function together.
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfort with repetitive and monotonous assembly work while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Ability to use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and align components.
- Experience working on an assembly line and following established assembly processes.
- Ability to accurately use shop floor data collection devices to record transactions and production data.
- Willingness to work overtime, including extended hours and additional days as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following quality and safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills to understand instructions and report issues or concerns promptly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience interpreting detailed work instructions, assembly instructions, and diagrams.
- Background in mechanical assembly or general labor within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience performing inspections on assembled parts to verify quality and compliance.
- Ability to handle tasks that may require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of the job.
- Capability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
- Comfort working in a structured production environment with defined processes and performance expectations.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility focused on assembling conveyor systems. The role is physically active and requires regular standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing throughout the shift. At times, you may need to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to complete assembly tasks. You must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. The environment is production-oriented, with assembly lines, hand and power tools, tape measures, and shop floor data collection devices used daily. Standard work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with overtime often available to meet business needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
