Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness during the recovery phase
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered to manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms
- Communicate effectively with surgical and anesthesia teams regarding patient status and care transitions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington or compact eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Prior experience in a PACU, critical care, or post-operative nursing setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
- Experience with a diverse patient population across multiple surgical specialties
