Job Opportunity

Join a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit renowned for its commitment to quality patient care, handling an average of 2,100 deliveries per year. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team, including OB practices and family practice doctors, while managing patient care in a private entity environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

Unit Information

• Operating a Level 3 NICU
• Must circulate for c-sections; LDRP not applicable
• Floating Requirement: May require floating to Maternity/Mother-Baby unit
• Average Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 2 patients
  • Nights: 2 patients
  • Weekends: 2 patients

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred; will consider candidates with 1-2 years of experience
• Prior charge experience is required
• Experience circulating for c-sections is mandatory
• Must have experience with Epic or equivalent documentation systems
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • AWHONN Intermediate*
  • BLS
  • NRP

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate should be proficient in the following skills:

• Assisting with high-risk deliveries
• Circulating for cesarean sections
• Managing antepartum and postpartum complications
• Performing sterile vaginal exams
• Conducting assessments for newborns and mothers
• Implementing pain management techniques
• Monitoring and utilizing electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
