Job Details

The Role: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
Location: Greater Baltimore / DC Corridor (hybrid + field presence as needed)

We're partnering with a growing engineering group looking to bring on a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor who can take ownership of projects while helping guide and develop junior staff.
This role blends leadership, technical execution, and project oversight-ideal for someone who wants to step beyond just "doing the work" and into shaping how it gets done.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead surveying projects from kickoff through final delivery
• Oversee field crews and coordinate with internal technical teams
• Ensure quality and accuracy across all survey outputs (QA/QC ownership)
• Prepare boundary surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and topo surveys
• Support construction layout, calculations, and documentation
• Navigate multi-jurisdictional deed research and records
• Play a key role in project planning and client-facing deliverables

What They're Looking For

• Active Professional Land Surveyor license (Maryland required)
• ~5+ years of hands-on surveying experience
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience with modern survey tools and evolving technologies
• Ability to lead, communicate, and manage multiple moving pieces

• Exposure to MicroStation
• Familiarity with MSHA-related survey work
• Licensure in DC or nearby states
