Flightline Operation Manager

Overview Flightline Operation Manager – Level K, reporting to Patuxent River, Maryland. The role leads a team of Integrated Aeronautical Maintenance (IAM) aviation maintenance professionals in preparing Navy carrier‑based aircraft for ground and flight testing. The position is first‑shift with up to 25% domestic travel. Position Responsibilities Ensure air vehicles complete certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation, functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and delivery preparation. Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance. Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals. Acquire resources for projects and processes; provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manage, develop, and motivate employees. Qualifications Basic Qualifications At least one year of leadership experience (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager) or completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project). Experience working in a highly regulated maintenance environment with strict compliance to policies and procedures. Experience in aircraft maintenance and flight‑line operations (military or commercial). Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically. Preferred Qualifications Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or clearance active within the past 24 months). Associate degree or higher and/or equivalent military experience. Experience as a team lead, project lead, and/or maintenance supervisor. Security Clearance & Travel Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship). The role includes up to 25% domestic travel. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $119,850 – $162,150.
