Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an apartment complex. This role ensures compliance with government regulations, enforces rules of occupancy, and coordinates tenant services to foster a thriving community.

Responsibilities

• Review tenant applications, maintain waiting lists, and show available units.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines (TCAC, HOME, HUD, USDA) when processing applicants.
• Monitor the condition of the property through regular walkthroughs.
• Ensure timely turnover of vacant units by coordinating maintenance and vendor services.
• Collect rent, security deposits, and collaborate with the accounting department.
• Execute lease agreements, explain terms, and instruct tenants on property rules.
• Conduct annual tenant re-certifications and submit reports as required.
• Address tenant complaints, issue notices, and handle eviction proceedings if necessary.
• Implement marketing strategies to minimize vacancies and enhance community engagement.
• Organize and facilitate community programs, financial literacy workshops, and resident activities.
• Maintain compliance with all housing regulations and assist with audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong written and mathematical skills.
• Well-organized and capable of working independently.
• Bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Familiarity with landlord/tenant laws is a plus.
• Previous property management experience preferred.
• Sensitivity to the needs of low-income residents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and internet-based applications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
