Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: California

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, variable start time, day shifts

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care in the Endoscopy department. The ideal candidate must possess a California RN license and have at least one year of GI or Endoscopy experience. The role requires a commitment to patient care coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within a surgical team setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage patient flow during procedures.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions when required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records using EPIC EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year of GI or Endoscopy experience.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Certification as a Gastrointestinal RN (CGRN) is preferred.
