One of the last interactions our customers have before leaving the store is with the Self-Checkout Coordinator; therefore, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values is expected. The individual will ensure the customer is satisfied and encouraged to come back to Tonys Fresh Markets./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3pThe essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:/pulliOperate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner;/liliOversee self-checkout units; demonstrates personal Customer Service excellence. Engage with customers always;/liliServe multiple customers at once and anticipate issues before they occur;/liliMonitor scanning activity to ensure scanning accuracy;/liliInvite customers to use self-checkout lanes, especially if lines are forming in other lanes;/liliDedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers. Demonstrate care and compassion for people; show empathy and concern. Able to build and maintain positive team relationships, relate well to diverse people; is approachable;/liliClearly communicate and enforce standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety; Engage in safe work practices and encouraging others to do the same;/liliResponsible for presentation of work area, cleaning organization -- uniform personal appearance of self;/liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Skills and Qualifications/h3ulliCustomer Service and retail experience desirable;/liliBilingual: Spanish and English preferred./li/ulh3Physical Demands and Work Conditions/h3pThe physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
