Overview JOB TITLE: Elementary Social Worker WORK YEAR: 2026-2027 School Year Qualifications Valid Michigan Social Work license Strong Social Work background Ability to work with a diverse student population Exceptional written and oral communication skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an education setting Job Responsibilities Provide social and emotional support to students and families Help students establish attendance, academic, or behavior goals Liaison to local agencies for students, parents, and families Collaborates with principals, teachers, and other school personnel to improve use of existing school programs and procedures related to the education, social and emotional needs of children Provides assistance to teachers and principals regarding students with adjustment problems and assists in the development of student behavior management plans Maintains appropriate confidential records on each student referred Bill and log Medicaid Reports To Elementary Principal Terms of Employment Salary and benefits per master contract based on experience and qualifications.
