Senior Account Executive

Due to the exciting growth of our business, BODEN, an award-winning, independent communications powerhouse, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team.

Senior Account Executives (SAE) are the day-to-day point person on key client projects, developing and executing media relations strategies and programming that deliver measurable impact and results. SAEs have a deep understanding of traditional and new media PR tactics and strategies, and ensure results by leading proactive media relations efforts.


SAEs contribute to client planning and strategy, offer strategic recommendations, support new business efforts and provide guidance to junior team members.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who understands how culture moves and a deep understanding of the current media landscape. The ideal candidate has experience working with global brands and initiatives focused on Hispanic culture.


Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day earned media strategy work and provides high-level client service.
• Develops strategic earned media and influencer communication plans, backed by insights, timelines, and budget estimates.
• Works closely with an integrated, multidisciplinary agency team to develop comprehensive plans across multiple projects.
• Writes, edits, and reviews translated media materials.
• Executes earned media and influencer plans; this includes media pitching national and local publications as well as vetting, negotiating, and seeing through influencer partnerships.
• Identifies potential issues and conflicts and informs senior leadership while proposing potential solutions.
• Oversees account-administrative work, including clip quality, media list maintenance, press kit maintenance, agendas & notes, reporting documents, etc.
• Leads award submission processes including research, gathering of materials, drafting and editing of submissions.
• Creates and manages campaign budgets and supports client invoicing.
• Oversees operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence.
• Delegate projects to junior staff, mentoring and providing feedback on their work
• Provides ongoing constructive feedback on performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct

Responsibilities

• 3+ years of work experience in a public relations/communications agency
• Experience and knowledge of multicultural industry
• Strong media relations expertise and a developed sense of the new media landscape
• Excellent client management skills
• Exceptional organizational, project management and relationship building skills
• Polished communication (written and verbal) skills - both in English and in Spanish
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field
