Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting position responsible for supporting the general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working in NetSuite and a strong foundation in corporate accounting. Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or other inventory-based environment is highly preferred. This is not an AP or AR-focused position. The Staff Accountant will have direct responsibility for core general ledger activities and will work closely with Finance and Operations across the business. Responsibilities Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements Review general ledger activity for accuracy and proper classification Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and related reconciliations as applicable Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts Maintain accurate accounting records within NetSuite Support internal and external audit requests Partner with Operations and other departments to research and resolve accounting issues Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred Strong general ledger and full-cycle accounting experience Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Understanding of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles Manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based industry experience highly preferred Ability to independently research and resolve accounting discrepancies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively across Accounting, Finance, and Operations Ideal Background The strongest candidates will have worked as a Staff Accountant, Corporate Accountant, GL Accountant, or Senior Staff Accountant in a manufacturing or distribution environment and have direct experience using NetSuite as part of their day-to-day accounting responsibilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
