Senior Staff Accountant

Job Description: Accountant at Christie Lites Christie Lites, one of the largest stage lighting rental companies in North America with offices across the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany, has been operational for over 35 years. We serve diverse sectors including Trade Shows, Corporate & Special Events, Film & Television, Concert & Theatrical Touring, Education, and the Arts. About the Role The Accountant will be responsible for completing key accounting functions to support our financial operations. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries for Commissions, Salaries, and Benefits, including reviewing source documentation and preparing journals according to the Responsibility Matrix. Manage all Fixed Asset accounting tasks such as maintaining asset listings, preparing depreciation schedules, recording transfers, and reconciling Fixed Asset Ledgers with General Ledgers. Review and approve Business Transaction reconciliations following established procedures. Required Skills Accounting designation from an accredited university or relevant experience Knowledge of US GAAP Multi-currency and complex intercompany accounting knowledge Expertise in account reconciliations and month-end closing processes Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) Experience with accounting software applications Preferred Skills Problem-solving mindset Team-oriented attitude Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level Employment Type: Full-time Job Function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Entertainment Providers, Accounting, Financial Services Referrals can double your chances of interviewing at Christie Lites.
