Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in two middle schools near Des Plaines, IL. This position begins immediately and provides a dynamic chance to collaborate with an experienced group of eight Occupational Therapists who thrive on teamwork and professional growth.

You’ll work on-site, either full time (Monday–Friday, 7:45 am–3:15 pm) or, if preferred, split the load as one of two part-time professionals. In this role, you’ll be an essential member of middle school teams, making a direct impact through initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility, supporting MTSS and IEP initiatives, and consulting to ensure generalization of therapeutic skills across learning environments.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for Illinois
• Strong background in school-based Occupational Therapy
• Experience or coursework in MTSS and IEP process preferred
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and write thorough evaluation reports
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Your primary responsibilities:

• Deliver OT services at two middle school campuses
• Complete assessments and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff on MTSS and IEP implementation
• Consult with team members to support carryover of skills into the classroom and school environment
• Participate in regular meetings and ongoing professional development as part of an eight-member OT team
