Informatica IDMC Platform Operations Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong professional experience in Informatica platform administration, engineering, or operations.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC and Cloud Data Integration, including Secure Agents, runtime environments, connections, schedules, users, groups, roles, and privileges.
• Experience supporting enterprise Informatica environments across development, testing, UAT, and production.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Informatica mappings, tasks, taskflows, agents, connectors, and platform services.
• Experience administering Informatica PowerCenter and supporting cloud-migration initiatives.
• Understanding of IDMC security, access management, credential management, and role-based access control.
• Experience with production incidents, root cause analysis, release management, and change management.
• Experience in public-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux or Unix administration and scripting.
• Experience with REST APIs, automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, firewalls, proxies, ports, certificates, and secure connectivity.
• Experience preparing operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Experience with CIBDC, CDI Advanced, CDI Elastic, or equivalent advanced IDMC integration capabilities, including advanced clusters or cloud-based runtime environments.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native platform concepts.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.
• Preferred: Experience integrating IDMC with cloud data platforms, databases, SaaS applications, APIs, and enterprise file-transfer solutions.
• Preferred: Experience with Informatica Cloud Application Integration, Data Quality, Operational Insights, or Cloud Integration Hub.
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise IAM, secrets-management, certificate-management, or privileged-access solutions.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar enterprise platforms.

• Engineer, administer, configure, and support enterprise Informatica IDMC environments and Cloud Data Integration services, including mappings, tasks, taskflows, schedules, connections, and runtime environments.
• Install, configure, manage, patch, and troubleshoot Secure Agents and agent groups across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Maintain platform configurations across development, testing, UAT, pre-production, disaster recovery, and production environments.
• Support migration and modernization of PowerCenter workloads to IDMC, including assessment, compatibility remediation, testing, cutover, stabilization, and coexistence during phased migrations.
• Establish reusable engineering standards, configuration patterns, operational controls, and cloud-ready development, deployment, monitoring, and support practices.
• Monitor platform health, availability, capacity, performance, and utilization; investigate logs and alerts, troubleshoot failures, restore services, and provide production escalation support.
• Lead incident triage, problem management, root cause analysis, and preventive remediation; participate in release, change, incident, problem, and configuration-management processes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, health checks, availability reports, support documentation, knowledge articles, procedures, architecture diagrams, and recovery runbooks.
• Administer IDMC users, groups, roles, privileges, permissions, project access, service accounts, credentials, certificates, secrets, and connection security.
• Implement role-based and least-privilege access; integrate enterprise identity services, conduct access reviews, remediate inappropriate access, and support security reviews, audits, vulnerability remediation, patching, and platform hardening.
• Automate administration and operations using scripting and APIs; develop provisioning, deployment, configuration-validation, monitoring, health-check, and reporting automation.
• Integrate deployments with CI/CD pipelines and support source control, version management, automated deployment, rollback, release traceability, and post-deployment verification.
• Analyze and tune mappings, tasks, taskflows, runtime environments, and agents; monitor resource and workload utilization, identify bottlenecks, assess capacity, and recommend scaling actions.
• Support high availability, resiliency, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery requirements; validate restart, recovery, job-resumption, and failure-handling procedures.
• Work with developers, data engineers, application owners, security and IAM teams, cloud engineers, database administrators, network teams, and infrastructure engineers to provide platform guidance and review solution readiness.
• Coordinate with Informatica support on product defects and complex issues, communicate risks and remediation plans, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.

We have three contract openings in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role works closely with Application Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Architecture, IAM, DevOps, and Production Support teams.
