Job Title: In-House Counsel
Location: On-Site - Scottsdale, AZ
Salary: $145K-$165K

About the Company / The Opportunity: Join a growing company in the construction industry and play a key role in supporting its legal and commercial needs. As the second U.S.-based attorney, you will establish and lead legal operations, strengthen contract governance, and provide practical legal guidance across a complex industrial business.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage legal operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage vendor, procurement, and customer agreements.
• Develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and governance standards.
• Partner with operations, commercial, finance, supply chain, compliance, and leadership to provide timely, practical legal guidance.
• Manage external counsel as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to register as in-house counsel in Arizona.
• 4-8 years of experience in commercial contracts, legal operations, and corporate law.
• Strong commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation experience.
• Experience developing legal processes, governance models, templates, playbooks, or operational improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Experience supporting an in-house corporate legal department.
• Background in construction or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a small team or start-up environment.
