Production Machinist - 3rd shift

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Production Machinist for third-shift operations in Warsaw, Indiana, responsible for setting up and operating precision machining equipment to manufacture medical device components. The role involves machine setup, quality checks, production recording, and participation in process improvements within a cellular manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare lathes, mills, and machining centers for production runs
- Monitor and check manufactured products to ensure quality meets Zimmer Biomet standards
- Record production data via DPI terminal and maintain count cards
- Participate in ongoing process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
- Perform additional cell responsibilities including non-destructive testing, finishing, or polishing as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years CNC lathe or mill machining experience, or equivalent vocational training
- Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments: micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds repeatedly
- Capable of machine setup and operation in a team-based cell environment
Compensation: $500 sign-on bonus upon completion of 90 days
