Entry-Level Plant Operator

This is an entry-level position, but over time well train you on the skills youll need to grow into new roles or departments. In this role, youll assist with daily plant operation and maintenance. If youve got the drive, well help you to reach your goals.

Wage: $18.00 + /hr w/ potential for overtime.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently within its designed parameters.
• Load and unload materials on and off trucks.
• Move materials around to different locations in a safe manner.
• Check equipment for safe operation.
• Assist other departments with maintenance, operations, and/or other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Promptly communicate with supervisors on any issues.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

• A strong desire to grow, and the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks and equipment.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently without direct supervision and has a positive attitude.
• Safety minded professional.
• Demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background check.

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
• Primarily work 8 - 12 hours per day 5-7 days per week during the peak season, occasional night work.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is frequently required to reach with arms waist to shoulder height, sit, stand, walk and handle/grasp equipment and machines.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift, carry and/or push/pull anywhere up to 50-75 lbs.
• The employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, squat, crouch or climb. And reach with arms above shoulder height or below knee height.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
