Asset Management - Data Engineer (Oracle PL/SQL)

The Role As a Senior Data Engineer you will work with highly effective squad, developing quality and scalable data solutions within Fidelity's Asset Management Technology (AMT) business. You value how we work, are collaborative, and continuously seek to improve our engineering efficiency! The Expertise and Skills You Bring ? Proven experience in developing quality data engineering solutions ? Software development experience in the Financial Industry ? Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL Scripting, and database performance tuning ? Solid understanding of ETL tools like Informatica and Data Warehousing like Snowflake. ? You enjoy learning new technologies, analyzing data, identifying gaps, issues, patterns, and building solutions ? You can independently analyze technical challenges, identify, assess impact, and identify innovative solutions ? Strong data modeling skills using Quantitative and Multi-Dimensional Analysis ? Demonstrate understanding of data design concepts - Transactional, Data Mart, Data Warehouse etc. ? Beginner proficiency of in Java, Python, REST API, and AWS, is a plus. ? You are passionate about delivering high quality software using DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Docker) practices! ? Experience developing software using Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus ? Strong analytical and problem solving skills ? Excellent written and oral communication skills The Team Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. Our team data engineering solutions for Fidelity's Strategic Advisor Inc., managed account, products. Our multi-terabyte data platform is used for critical investment management businesses for Fidelity's flagship mutual funds and ETFs. Our platform serves investment users and customers that make daily decisions which lead to billions of dollars in market investment.
