2nd Shift, Monday Friday, 3:00 pm- 11:30pm

Position Summary (Major Areas of Contribution):

The Laser Operator follows instructions on the job travelers to cut parts required to build product. The success of this position is based on effectively carrying out the following "Essential Functions of the Position."

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Perform various tasks related to operation of the laser and other duties as assigned. Communicate effectively with team, coworkers, management, and office personnel. Work independently and in a team environment. Meet company-wide continuous improvement, performance goals and safety policies Perform basic computer skills. Read and operate measurement tools. Program CNC laser equipment. Create programs that nest parts utilizing company supplied software/computer.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills/ Experience:

Perform typical laser cutting operations. Operate the CNC laser cutting machine Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings, sketches and blueprints. Must be able to accurately identify measurements of parts and determine require machine operations from the measurement. Basic math and mechanical ability.. Set up laser machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Results driven. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail. Time Management. Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines. High School Diploma or equivalent
