About this Position
The Patient Service Representative is responsible to perform duties related to checking-in/out patients scheduling patient appointments call confirmations verifying insurance while maintaining accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and State/Federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma Driver License Required
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
- Strong Computer Skills (MS Office Suite specifically with Outlook Word Excel) typing and data entry medical terminology answer phone detail-oriented quality focus ability to prioritize and work within deadlines excellent customer service skills professionalism and interpersonal communication ability to effectively communicate with patients and all medical staff ability to work in a team environment knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and ability to learn new processes as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical
Some college or technical school in related field
- Six months related job experience
- Experience with EMR system
Working Conditions
Possible exposure to hazardous material hot and cold blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift carry push or pull 15 pounds climb balance stoop kneel crouch reach stand walk finger grasp feel talk hear see and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.
