Project Manager (Project Assistant)

Overview The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation seeks a Project Manager (Project Assistant) to work on the Innovation and Transformation Team, managing complex information technology projects. The role involves developing and maintaining project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring project progress across all phases, and ensuring delivery of quality products within budget and schedule. Based in Albany, this is a full-time temporary position requiring five years of project management experience in IT and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Responsibilities Develop and maintain project plans and schedules. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project progress and milestones are met. Monitor project progress across all phases and manage risks, issues, and changes. Ensure delivery of quality products within defined budget and schedule constraints. Qualifications Five years of project management experience in complex information technology projects with cross-functional teams and multi-million-dollar budgets. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Public Administration, Education, Economics, Communications, or a related field. Experience developing project management deliverables such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (preferred).
