Job Title

Travel: RN - Med Surg / Med 7 - Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments every 8 hours or more frequently as indicated by clinical condition, and notify the physician of admissions and obtain orders per departmental policy
• Collaborate in the development and ongoing review of outcome-oriented patient care plans, incorporating patient and family input and prioritizing care based on patient needs
• Implement the nursing plan of care for an assigned group of med/surg patients, including performing procedures, administering medications safely, and providing patient education
• Monitor patients via remote telemetry (ICU-monitored) and communicate significant changes in patient condition or medical orders in a timely manner
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of care and pertinent data in EPIC EMR in accordance with organizational policies
• Float on a rotational basis as required and participate in unit and organizational performance improvement activities

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in Oklahoma or currently licensed in the state of Oklahoma
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to work every other Friday and Saturday night as required by the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience caring for med/surg patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, and respiratory illness
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality with flexibility and strong interpersonal skills
