Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist. This position spans the mid-December to mid/late March period during the 2026/27 school year and is conveniently located near Middletown, DE. The role features a balanced, flexible hybrid schedule: three days onsite at an elementary school and two days working from home.

Ideal candidates have a passion for student advocacy and experience in K-12 educational settings. Your expertise will help foster academic, emotional, and social growth, making a direct impact during a vital school year period.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid licensure/certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous experience providing psychological services in school settings
Familiarity with conducting assessments, creating behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with educators and families
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Availability for the specified assignment timeframe (mid-December–mid/late March)

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and interpret results for students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs and intervention strategies
Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
Document findings and progress according to school and state guidelines
Contribute to a supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being
