Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team at Onyx Care of Natchitoches. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our patients. At Onyx Healthcare, we take a patient-centered approach and provide personalized care, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence and compassion.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for patients with diverse dietary needs and preferences
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards
  • Collaborate with our dietary team to develop and implement meal plans that meet patient needs and preferences
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to high standards of quality and presentation
  • Assists with cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities
  • Maintains accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and menu planning
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
