Lead Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

We are hiring a Lead Low Voltage Technician to support commercial construction projects in the Myrtle Beach area.This role will lead jobs from start to finish, manage field crews, and ensure high-quality installation and testing of cabling systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician ready to step into a true leadership role with autonomy and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structured cabling projects from kickoff through completion
• Read and execute work from blueprints and construction drawings
• Install and manage cable pathways in commercial environments
• Pull, dress, label, and terminate Cat5/6 cabling
• Build and organize telecom rooms (IDF/MDF, racks, labeling)
• Perform Fluke testing (setup, cable IDs, documentation)
• Troubleshoot cabling and test failures
• Manage and direct field crews
• Maintain productivity, quality, and jobsite accountability
• Provide daily progress reports (cable counts, completed work, issues)

Required Qualifications

• Experience leading structured cabling projects end-to-end
• Strong commercial cabling experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Cable installation & pathways
  • Termination and labeling
  • Testing and troubleshooting
• Experience with Cat5/6 and low voltage systems
• Willingness to work occasional night shifts
• Ability to travel if needed

Preferred Qualifications

Fiber optic experience

Healthcare or hospital project experience

Schedule

Mon–Th: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Occasional nights: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conway, SC.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
