Job Summary:
The Medical Lab Scientist will perform point of care testing and clerical duties to support the emergency room laboratory operations. The role requires certification through ASCP and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely lab services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct point of care tests accurately to support emergency room diagnostics.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by Nursing and Lab Director to ensure smooth unit operations.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate timely test results and effective communication.
• Ensure proper operation and calibration of lab equipment and EMR documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ASCP certification as MLS, CLS, or Medical Technologist.
• Possess at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in point of care testing procedures.
• Display strong organizational and clerical skills.
• Willingness to perform clerical duties and support FSED operations.
• Ability to work 13-week travel assignments with flexibility for shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
