Dental AssistantThe Dental Assistant serves as a link between dentists and patients, managing both clinical and administrative tasks. Key duties include sterilizing instruments, preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, assisting chairside during procedures, and updating patient charts.Core ResponsibilitiesChairside Assistance: Support dentists during various procedures by handing instruments, mixing dental materials, and operating suction equipment to keep the patient's mouth dry.Patient Care: Greet patients, make them comfortable in the dental chair, review their health history, and explain postoperative care instructions.Sterilization & Lab Work: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA protocols. Take dental impressions and process X-rays.Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, manage office inventory, and assist with billing and insurance claims.Key Qualifications & Skills Education:Completion of an accredited dental assisting programCertifications: Active CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Physical & Soft Skills: Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to help comfort anxious patients. Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to infection-control and safety regulations.
