The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules that effectively balance customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role plays a critical role in ensuring on‑time delivery, supporting efficient plant operations. This role is the primary liaison between Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, R&D, and Finance for order fulfillment. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and manage production schedules to achieve on‑time delivery goals. Creates and maintains work orders to fulfill customer orders. Analyze sales orders to align with capacity and material requirements. Adjust schedules and coordinate with cross‑functional team to address constraints and disruptions. Support or lead cross‑functional supply chain planning initiatives. Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of manufacturing routings. Supports the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Support implementation of material changes related to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Assists in customer communications related to order fulfillment and available capacity. Actively works to improve or create processes and tools with cross‑functional teams. Other Duties and Responsibilities Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices. Safety Protocol: Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures. Correct or report any observed safety hazards. Support safety policies and programs. Qualifications Education / Experience / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred. Minimum two years of experience working in ERP Applications (MPS / MRP). Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Skills Required Experience of the Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Word and Excel (to an intermediate level). Good written and oral communication skills at all levels. Ability to act on own initiative, proactively solve issues, and resolve unexpected problems effectively. Strong organizational skills. Experience communicating directly with customers. Knowledge and experience in working with manufacturing Bills of Material, Material Requirements Planning, and Routings. Demonstrated experience in planning and analysis (Preferred). Ability to influence change supported by data while working collaboratively and managing multiple projects in an independent work environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate work consistent with business financials and customer forecast/demands.
