We're known for our long-standing commitment to client relationships, high-quality medicine, and a team-first culture where every voice matters.What You'll DoAs a Veterinary Technician - General Practice at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital, you will be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities will include:Assisting veterinarians with routine general practice procedures: exams, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, venipuncture, and catheter placementSupport with patient intake, client communication, and education on treatmentsPreparing patients for appointments, including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork, medical history, and diagnosticsAdministering and monitoring medications, ensuring safe and accurate patient careCommunicating effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations, discharges, and follow-up updatesMaintaining accurate patient records and supporting seamless case managementCollaborating closely with veterinarians and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient careSupporting other hospital teams as needed once duties are completeWe don't just get through the workday; we embrace the challenges and triumphs that come with providing advanced specialty care.
