What you'll do as a Trauma/Burn Clinical Data Abstractor:

• Be responsible for case identification and initial entry into the trauma registry, clinical chart abstraction and data entry (completion) into the Maryland State Trauma Registry for treated/released trauma patients, ED trauma transfers and ED trauma deaths
• Be responsible for monitoring the hospital alert/diversion status

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years' relevant experience including medical terminology database management and ICD 10 coding
• Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, emergency health services or informatics
• Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles
• Ability to exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain medical center policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel
• Courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees

Salary Range: Minimum $24.32/hour - Maximum $40.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
