OB GYN Generalist (M67789) Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology VCU Health - Richmond, VA Mission The mission of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department is to provide the highest quality clinical care in both general and specialty obstetrics and gynecology to central Virginia. In addition, the department provides undergraduate and graduate medical education and advances the field through basic and clinical research. Chief Purpose of this position The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks qualified candidates to provide specialty care in general obstetrics and gynecology at VCU Health. The position will primarily provide care in general obstetrics and gynecology, including surgery, in‑ and outpatient consultation and therapeutic procedures. The role includes participation in student and resident education and departmental clinical research activities. Position Responsibilities Teaching – Actively participate in educational activities, educating students and residents in core objectives. Research – Initiate clinical research projects and contribute to scholarly publications and presentations. Service – Serve on departmental, health system, and university committees as necessary. Clinical – Full participation in clinical activities including clinic, inpatient care, surgery, and nighttime call duties as determined by the division head. Other – Participate in department and institutional administrative activities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency. Eligibility for a Virginia medical license. Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise. Demonstrated ability to foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with colleagues. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated talent and experience in teaching, commitment to research, and patient care. BC/BE certification by the American Board of OB/GYN. #J-18808-Ljbffr
