Cook Position at Las Brisas

We are a long-standing, family-owned Mexican restaurant known for authentic food, consistency, and heartfelt service. We're looking for a skilled Cook who wants stability, growth, and the chance to learn directly from our Chef/Founder, who brings over 50 years of experience in traditional Mexican cuisine.

Schedule & Pay:

• Typical schedule: TuesdaySaturday, 3pmclose or 5:30pmclose, Sunday (TBD).
• Pay: $22$25/hr. based on experience and ability.
• 90-day training period with opportunity for a raise at 6-month evaluation.

About the Role

As a Cook, you'll work closely with our Chef/Founder to prepare high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen organization, and support smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who values tradition, teamwork, and long-term growth in a respected San Pedro legacy restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare food according to recipes and Chef instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and storage areas.
• Assist with timely preparation of customer orders.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Support daily kitchen operations wherever needed.
• Work collaboratively with the Chef and kitchen team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of proven experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or Spanish-speaking) to communicate with Chef.
• Valid Food Handler or Manager Certification.
• Knowledge of Mexican food; culinary skills a plus.
• Honest, responsible, dependable, and punctual.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions.
