Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 2:1 patient ratio. Weekend shifts are considered Friday and Saturday nights (Sunday is not a weekend night).

Highlights

• Neuro ICU specializing in stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and post-operative neurosurgery patients
• Complex patient care including mechanically ventilated patients, invasive neuromonitoring (ICP and EVD monitoring), and EEG monitoring
• Epic charting system in use; prior Epic experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• 13-week travel assignment with two pre-approved time off periods

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or similar critical care setting
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association certifications only)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Experience with arterial lines, central line management, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, and external ventricular drains (EVD)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager or director-level reference
• COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
