About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts. Weekdays with rotating weekends (up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Rotating holidays. Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift.

Highlights:

• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 allowing for intensive, focused patient care
• Advanced cardiovascular patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
• Epic charting system in use facility-wide
• Work with cutting-edge equipment including IABP, Impella, ventricular assist devices, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float opportunities within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels, with rotations no more than once every 4 weeks

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter management, conscious sedation, balloon pump (IABP) management, and pulmonary artery line management
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio credentialing
