About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Float requirements within units of equivalent or lower acuity, rotating no more than once every 4 weeks.

• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 ensuring focused, individualized critical care
• Cardiovascular ICU specializing in post-cardiac surgery, CABG, valve repair, TAVR, heart/lung transplant, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
• Epic EMR system utilized for documentation and patient management
• 36-hour orientation period to support seamless integration
• Advanced equipment including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and ventilators
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps (IABP), and PA line management
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately upon contract signing
