Generalist OB/GYN

NO NIGHT CALL

Location: Lakeland, Florida

Our organization is on the lookout for Generalist OB/GYN Physicians to become part of our expanding hospital-based women's health practice.

This position provides an opportunity to engage in obstetric and gynecologic care within a supportive, community-focused setting, backed by a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist team, which eliminates night call and promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Physicians will work within a stable employment framework characterized by strong administrative collaboration, collegial relationships, and the flexibility to influence their clinical practice.

Responsibilities for Generalist OB/GYNs include:

• Delivering obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
• Collaborating in a team-oriented model with immediate partner support
• Fostering a positive, patient-centered training environment within the community
• Overseeing and teaching residents and medical students during routine inpatient, outpatient, Labor & Delivery, and surgical care

• Co-managing complex surgical and obstetric cases

• Shared daytime in-hospital call rotation (NO NIGHT CALL)

There is also the opportunity for physicians to customize their practice mix in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

All major women's health subspecialties are readily accessible, including:

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Urogynecology
• Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (regional partners)

This integrated system facilitates seamless referrals and comprehensive, patient-centered care.

In-hospital care is provided at the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children , an eight-story, state-of-the-art facility designed for compassionate, family-centered care, featuring:

• Comprehensive services for women and children
• A dedicated OB Emergency Department
• A dedicated Children's Emergency Department
• A Level III NICU with 24/7 support from neonatologists and NICU teams
• 24/7 OB-dedicated anesthesia services
• Specialized Women's OR suites with expert surgical teams
• Da Vinci Xi robotic systems (robotics available but not mandatory)
• Modern, elegant, patient-centered environments

Who Thrives Here / Qualifications

This position is ideal for OB/GYNs who:

• Are board certified/board eligible through ABMS or AOA and possess a current Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one
• Prefer a primarily clinical OB/GYN practice
• Enjoy mentoring residents and medical students as part of their daily clinical responsibilities OB/GYN Residency Program launching in Summer 2027
