Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Documentation in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will report observations, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel at a public ferry transportation location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of ferry terminals, waiting areas, boarding zones, access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
