Compensation Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Oncology team at our Children’s Hospital located on the New Brunswick campus.

QualificationsRequired:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pediatric RN
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Strong computer proficiency

Preferred:

• Experience in Pediatric Oncology is advantageous

Certifications and Licenses

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• PALS certification is required
• APHON Chemotherapy certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the framework established by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while adhering to ethical guidelines as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles, and takes responsibility for enhancing personal and team knowledge through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting any safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of the patient demographic served.
• Oversees and directs task delegation to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Continuously sets and assesses priorities through targeted interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement.
• Acts as both an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team leader, employing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
