Downstream Process Development Scientist

responsibilities:

• Independently execute bench- and pilot-scale downstream experiments supporting client project development and tech transfer.
• Perform purification processes including normal flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, and downstream bioprocessing.
• Draft critical documentation including lab procedures, study protocols, summary reports, process flow diagrams, and tech transfer documentation.
• Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot experimental results independently while documenting all observations.
• Support downstream development efforts using analytical assays.

 
qualifications:

• BS degree with 4+ years of biotech industry experience.
• Hands-on experience operating bench- and pilot-scale downstream purification equipment.
• Working knowledge of normal flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, and purification processes.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, technology transfer, and process scale-up.
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and work weekend/overtime as needed.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
