MRI Technologist II

Role Overview Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images of patients' bodies. Under supervision, performs patient studies, operates imaging devices, and adjusts scan parameters to ensure high-quality images. Key Responsibilities Performs MRI procedures following protocols, including patient positioning and coil placement. Explains procedures to patients, addresses concerns, and ensures safety by enforcing protocols, removing metal objects, and monitoring via CCTV. Trains and mentors new hires and MRI staff, and may supervise in the absence of a supervisor. Maintains safety standards and ensures optimal diagnostic image quality. Performs related technical and safety functions as needed. Qualifications & Skills Minimum two years of recent MRI technologist experience. High school diploma or GED, with required radiologic licenses and certifications, including BLS. Proficient in MRI procedures, protocols, and teaching others. Effective communication skills are essential. Preferred ARRT certification. Additional Details Full-time, onsite role with evening shifts, requiring the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
